I've been considering switching ISPs in favor of a bundled package, but I'm not sure how much the differences in speed will affect me.

I currently have Cox, and my plan supposedly gives me 25 Mbps. I've never been able to get it to peak much over 13 Mbps using Internet speed tests. We can stream Netflix and download just fine with them.

The package I'm looking at with CenturyLink offers 12 Mbps. Based off my speed tests I shouldn't really notice much of a difference, but I'm not sure. I usually pretty tech savvy, but this is a gray area for me. I'm hoping that if its comparable I can save some money by switching.

Any insight anyone has woud be appreciated!

Can I ask why you're paying for something you're not getting? You're getting just above HALF of the internet download speed that you pay for. Have you contacted Cox about this? If I was getting half of what I paid for I'd be on the phone with my ISP demanding an account credit and someone to come out and get the issue resolved.
