I just took a few comparison shots between my old iPhone 11 Pro and 12 Pro Max camera that I though people here might be interested in. The reason I chose the 12 Pro Max was for the larger telephoto zoom and the bigger standard zoom sensor so I wanted to see how much better my new camera looks.
Some of the differences here might be due to differences in how each phone is processing the images not purely the sensors so the tis worth keeping in mind. The differences in dynamic range and sharpness are particularly impressive to me.
I shot the wide angle photos at dusk (just after sunset, around 4:45) and the telephoto shots at sunset (4:15). All were shot through a glass window.
iPhone 11 Pro @ 1x (Regular wide)
iPhone 12 Pro Max @ 1x (Regular wide)
iPhone 11 Pro @ 2x (Telephoto)
iPhone 12 Pro Max @ 2.5x (Telephoto)
