Comparison of OSX release resource requirements?

I thought a quick google would turn this up, but no joy.

Does anyone know if a comparison exists of the various OSX releases (snow leopard onwards), to show what a basic install uses in normal operation (eg HDD, RAM, CPU).

For what its worth I downgraded a 2011 macbook pro from mavericks back to snow leopard, the performance improvement is tangible.
