I've got a mess going working on same document across 3 different computers- Mac w/Ofiice 2008, PC Office 2007, and PC Office 2003. Sometimes I save files as .doc to be able to work on the 2003 PC (that's where stuff gets printed from right now)
I carry this around on a thumb drive. Right now I've got a .docx file that says it's in Compatability mode. So I cant work on it (using Smartart, etc.) I'm not sure how this got in compatability mode. I thought I only get Compatability mode when I convert the file format, and I don't seem to have converted it as it's .docx. Is there a way to get it back out?
