New to forums. Just purchased a first gen(2006) mac pro off ebay and found out it had a x1900 for a video card, I have a 8800gt in my old comp(hackintosh) but tried removing the ati card and installing 8800gt and no luck. Could anyone reccomend me a video card that would work maybe out of the box and that isnt too expensive, really wanna spend 100$-150$ max.

Why exactly to you want to replace the 1900?

You will have a hard time finding a faster card that works right out of the box for 150 bucks.

I would suggest either ATI 5770 (249$) or ATI 48xx (PC) from eBay and then flash it. 5770 is plug&play but costs more but 48xx is much cheaper but requires a bit work

Well I heard that the x1900 was about 2 years behind the 8800gt and that somehow that they made drivers for the first gen but i have no idea how to go about doing this. I plan on using this for a few more years for photoshop/gaming.
