Compatibility Issue

Hey fellow jailbreakers,

I have a quick question about device compatibility with iPods and iPhone.
In my truck I have a Clarion deck with iPod connector for aux, My ipod classic works with it to play music and charge, but my iPod touches (2G 4G) and IP4 just say the charging is not supported and it won't play my music through the stereo.

I am wondering if there is any app or whatever that will allow me to 'dumb-down' my iDevices so that they can charge and play my music via the ipod connector.

I don't think it is a software thing, the power pins was move a some point. you must have a old cable.

Yes, it is older. I wonder if it's possible to wire in a new ipod cable into my deck. I might try that this weekend.
