Hi there,

I have been browsing a few forums looking for an answer:
I would like to buy a NAS and use it both as a remote hard drive and as a Time Machine (Yes I am under Leopard).
I was wondering first if that exists apart from the Apple Time Capsule. As a matter of fact, such as a WD NAS or others.
What is exactly the requierments of the NAS to be compatile? Would the Bonjour protocol mandatoy?

Thanks for the help...

I think it's got to do with the file format the NAS uses, the TM is not compatible with some of the ready for use drive and thus gotta be reformatted by Disk Utility or something like that. not so sure though, maybe someone else who actually know what they're talking about will come around to help. In the mean time, from what I can search on the site here, drobo seems to work well with TM
