I just got my used Power Mac and it is sooooo beautiful. Too bad my monitor clashes with it....LOL

The G5 came with a combo drive. Booooo. I want to upgrade to a SuperDrive! Any drive that should be installed? Can I just get any brand and model? Is fitment all the same?

Today I am going to buy ram! Pumped!

I'm not sure exactly what models will work right out of the box. Apple ships Pioneer DVR-10x series burners, along with some Sony burners in new Power Macs. My dual G5 has a Pioneer DVR-107, and I think current Power Macs come with either a DVR-109 or a DVR-110. If I were buying a new SuperDrive for a Power Mac, I'd get a DVR-110. That *should* work without you having to do anything other than put it into the machine.
