Compatible HDDs with Macbook Pro (mid 2009)

I want to upgrade the HDD on my macbook pro and I need some help on compatiblity issues - is it compatible with a SATA300 or the SATA150?

It has SATA2 (3Gb/s) interface so it's compatible with both but definitely get the faster one

As of today you should be able to fit 500 GB to 650 GB SATA notebook HD into your MBP. Make sure, however, that the height of the HD is approx. 9.5mm and not 12mm. If I am correct I believe the 1T SATA notebook HD is 12mm.
