Today is my first day in a Completion and my Points have stopped adding. This morning I did some walking at work then hit the gym for a 20 minute elliptical. My Points were at 330. I then went for a 6 mile/10K run. I fully expected to see over 1000 Points based on what I had already earned. However it was only 600 Points. Since then not a single Point has been added. So is 600 Points the MAX for a day?

Yeah that seems pretty dumb for people who are really active. What kind of competition is that? The whole point of the competition is to motivate you to work even harder to beat them, which means with this artificial limitation you are less incentivized to do better. You wouldn't be using this if you didn't want to be incentivized, right? People argue that you are healthier at the end which may be true, but are you going to push yourself as hard as you would otherwise? Likely not as much, thus leading to minimal improvement. I kinda wonder if they limited it so they wouldn't be liable for a lawsuit from people going too crazy with it. But you'd figure they could have a setting switch to remove restrictions and pop up warning you about the risk and letting you accept the risks to absolve them of liability.

The problem is that if someone is behind after the first (or any) day, the person who is winning can simply max out on points on the remaining days and guarantee they will win the competition. If it was put to me, just get rid of the daily cap.

Yeah the cap doesn't really make sense. I also dont really care for the fact that it is based off your move goal. So if someone has a 200 calorie move goal they are going to have a much easier time accruing points than someone that has a 1000 calorie goal. For it being the first iteration of this feature I think it is pretty good. Can obviously use some refining though.

Actually, I disagree with this. The move goal needs to be factored in somehow. Everyone has different abilities and fitness levels. Not to mention gender differences and what not. Using the move goal serves to level the playing field. If you are concerned that your friend doesn't have a realistic move goal set, or would try to cheat by setting a crazy low goal, then don't challenge them to a competition.

I do agree that there shouldn't be a straight up cap on points though. Maybe they could reduce the rate at which you earn points once you hit your goal? Something like once you hit your goal you only earn 75% of the points you would have. After you double your goal you only earn 50%, and so on.

Honestly, the whole way the move goal works needs to be rethought. It's too simplistic. Nobody should be going all out every single day; we all need rest days. The way I've set mine up is to make it so I have to do something extra, like a walk around the block, on days that I'm not working out in order to meet it. On days I do work out I generally aim for hitting 200%.
