iPod Compilations in iTunes/iPod

I have a lot of songs that have multiple artists. I usually just put the featured artists in the artists field but then in coverflow, it shows up as multiple artists. I also tried to put the main artist in the "Album artist" field and the featured artists in the artists field and check compilations. When I do this (on iPod), it shows 2 albums, one with the album artists and one with various artists. How do I fix this?
