I've found a few tutorials around the web on setting up my Xcode to build programs for the iPhone to make apps that tie into MobileSubstrate and the SpringBoard, but they are all very vague and not one has a complete set of directions.

I decided that while I do this I would try to get the Simulator working as well.

I installed the SDK, I dumped UIKit and SpringBoard headers for 2.0 and 3.0 and patched them using a script I found online. I then put these in the usr/include/UIKit and usr/include/SpringBoard folders for each of the respective SDK folders.

I then took my libsubstrate.dylib from my phone and put it in the propper folder for the iPhoneOS SDK's but I have to build my own libsubstrate.dylib using the simulator compiler if I want to use that. At least I'm pretty sure. Anyone know how this would be done?

Has anyone set up their system to compile apps this way, with or without the simulator, that knows if I'm on track?
