Updated to 10.13.2 just this morning and now Photos want to sync my whole Photos library again?

iCloud Storage is "On" and I use the setting "Optimize Mac Storage" but it's still syncing all my 39.000+ photo library plus 5000+ videos.

Restating Photos and/or computer makes no difference.

Anyone else hade this issue? Annyoing and making me question having all my photos in iCloud.

EDIT : Before the update to 10.13.2 the iCloud Photos library was updated.

Yah, mostly the same response from me (and--in the past--on major-ish updates) . . . but, it took like a minute to re-sync everything.

Used to be concerned about "all-in-the-cloud", and still make backups of backups, but everything I've up'ped there has remained consistently available on all my devices, since.

I would advise to make a backup of all photos on a regular basis, if only--at least--to ease the mind <smile>
