Hello there,

Was just curious if anyone has heard of this problem before and what to do about it.

I have an iPhone 4s, bought about 4 weeks ago, that can only receive calls. That's it. It kicks you out of apps, messaging, phone, says that there are no contacts, says that music files aren't there even if you have just played them. If it does receive an email/sms on a rare occasion it will repeat the alert multiple times, as if it were a new one.

Am I right in thinking the might be something to do with hardware, possibly the ssd/flash drive?

Thanks guys and gals.

Squid.

I'd agree with the restore advice.

Do it as a new iPhone and don't use any back ups from iTunes.

Make sure your firmware is up to date too.

If this fails then seek resolution from an apple genius.

Hope all turns out ok for you.
