I am going to be selling DVDs online soon, and inside will be a small serial code. I would like it so that my customers can go online and register their DVD purchase for certain benefits. Does anyone know of a system that I can put on my server that will allow me to do that kind of serial registration system? It would be cool if it could generate the serial codes for me too, but I can do that manually if it can only handle the registration part of the system. Thanks!

You're going to need something built specifically for you. There aren't to many Out of the box, automagic serial requester benefits open source programs out there.
