Completed any work today?

Anyone else completed ZERO amount of work today?

I had a number of things to get done in the office but have found myself constantly browsing tech websites for any news on the iPhone 5, or refreshing this forum...

I'm feeling a little guilty and pathetic!

I took the day off, not because of today's event per se, but more so because I needed an extra break. I've been working an awful lot without much let up. I figured today would be a good day to be off as it coincided with the event.

Yeah - I'm actually quite busy, though I do pop in here from time to time.

No real news is going to come, until the scheduled event later today, so why bother getting too worked up - but that's just me.

I'm the same. Have a few things that popped up late yesterday that I need to knock out this morning so I can let off and follow along this afternoon.

I have been surprised by the last top blurbs on the main page though.

As the US is about 12+ hours behind us (we get it 12 hours before you on launch), I got heaps of work done today, didn't even get to eat lunch, damn co-worker called in sick so I did both our jobs.

1 am Keynote for me I am waiting for now and I to be up at 6am and I have to work a 12 hour day tomorrow, so I am more concerned about the amount of work I will get done then!

Keynote is at 2:30am for me, but I don't start until noon, and haven't been able to sleep before 4am this week so I imagine I'll be up.

Today I've been checking macrumors and 9-5 hundreds of times, and drifting off when people talk to me. Right now I'm supposed to write up an assignment, but I'm on here instead :/

Same here. I'm fairly busy today, and will pop in occasionally. I'm not much for all the hype...

right with you, I work at a University and I am surfing the net. too bad i have class at 12:30:mad:

Just about managing to take phone calls. All over project work etc has ground to halt in leiu of constantly reloading about four or five tabs.... :)

haha! I have 2 tabs open, MR and Apple.com

I am getting little done today, plan to eat my lunch watching the live updates on cnet. -and I will clock out so I dont have to answer any emails or phone calls. lol!

I guess I'm not as excited as most people. I did come in early so I can have an hour lunch to check out all the details of the announcement and try to preorder. However, I do have a lot of work to do so I'll be too busy to check this site and others until after the announcement.

And yet here you are. :p Just joking.

Wish I'd taken a day off... Not necessarily because of the event, but because I need a break and it would've been a happy accident to have this the same day.

My wishes for the day (not realistic, just pipe dreams):
- AT&T pushing up upgrade dates for all customers (and/or the next wish)
- Apple offering factory unlocked iPhone 5 on release day
- NFC surprise
- Fingerprint unlock surprise
- iPad Mini surprise
- Some feature that isn't on anyone's radar... Maybe an advance in charging technology or something.

Again, not expecting any of this. Just would be nice to be surprised by something now that everything gets leaked ahead of time...

Busy day for me. But brought my iPad and will be catching as much as I can. Hopefully things will quiet down a bit right around 1pm.

Well, I'm a substitute teacher (until I find a full time teaching position) and none of the districts that I sub for needed me today. I typically work at least 4 days a week, often a full 5, but I just happened to land today off with nothing to do. I kind of hope that I work M-Th next week and end up with Friday off. I could just choose to take next Friday off to wait for it, but that would mean intentionally turning down a paid day's work.
