I am using iMovie 09 and iDVD 7.1.2.
I create a project, share it to iDVD and burn a DVD, then go back to iMovie and move the project and the event to the trash, then empty the trash.
This is not opening up space on my hard drive. I'm down to a few hundred mb now.
How can I get rid of the old files?

Have you checked the iMovie Events folder in your Movies folder to see whether they are still there or not?

Have you been Finalizing your iMovie Projects? This creates a copy of your Project in every resolution possible, and makes them available to other Applications via the Media Browser. However there is no need to do this, unless you actually do want a copy in every resolution possible!

You might like to download Grand Perspective and scan your Home Folder to see where all you disc space has gone.

Thanks I'll give it a try. I am currently moving some events that are not associated with projects to an external drive.
