Hi everyone, I am new to mac as well as this forum so I decided to make my first post here! I am going to enter college in the fall and am majoring in graphic design and advertising. Obviously I need a mac for this and am really excited about purchasing one. I haven't decided though between the iMac and the Macbook pro. I know a new iMac comes out tomorrow and I am really excited for that. However, my question is, will an iMac be able to handle the programs that graphic design students use? I doubt I will be doing any 3D intensive work, but I will be obviously using photoshop, illustrator, in design, dreamweaver, flash etc etc...If I got the iMac I was planning on upgrading the ram, but would it be a good idea to upgrade the processor speed too? Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.
