Complications don’t update in WatchOS 8

After updating to WatchOS 8 complications such as battery life and activity don’t update. Seems like I can “force” and update by swiping through several watch faces, but even that doesn’t work all the time.
For instance at 11pm last night all my watch faces showed battery level of 88 percent, even though it was down to 28%. it probably stopped updating after early morning. The activity rings seems to update more often but still seem to need to be “forced” to update at times.

I am experiencing the same issue. The watch faces now and then are missing the activity rings. This error occurs arbitrarily. Hard reset or restart does not help. The problem has been reported to Apple Support, which is working on the case.

Me too. I think watchOS 8 is as big a cluster **** as iOS 15.

yep this one, Minney mouse all of a sudden disappears, text messages not coming through etc. its a cluster f**k. Wife and I a reboot even day right now to get out of these issues.

I am also having the complications not updating issue on my S4 watch. I have to actually touch the complication to open the shortcut to get the complication to update. Does anyone think this is related to WatchOS or to the apps not updating the complications? I have had update issues with some complications since WatchOS 6. 7 was better but now with 8 they really don't update at all. Maybe one of the betas will fix this but I'm not installing it on my watch.

Touching the complications hasn’t worked for me, it seems scrolling through my various watch faces often makes them update, but only for a period of time until they stop updating again.

WatchOS 8.3, still broken. Complications are touted as a way to get information at a glance. Well its useless when that information is completely wrong.

Weird. I haven't had any problems. Which Watch do you have? Mine is an S6.

My complications are working. Painful as it is - reset and re-pair the watch and then try the native complications again without any third party stuff installed.

I have an S5. I’ve thought of repairing it, but haven’t yet. Might have to at this point. For instance my battery complication shows 72%, when it’s actually 20%. Basically hasn’t updated in probably 12hrs.

Reset and re-paired about a week ago. Complications worked until today, now back to not working again.
