Complications on custom watch faces?

I like having a custom photo watch face, but you can't add any complications to it.

Any idea if this is even possible or could be coming soon?

I went back to my old face because I liked having my activity and battery complications.

Unfortunately not possible at this stage. Hopefully they'll add the ability in the future as it seems to be something that a lot of people would find useful.

While I applaud apple for giving us custom watch faces with our photos, it is by far too constrained in so many ways, i.e., why limit us to the digital close, why not other watch faces. Also there's no complications.

Perhaps we'll see this in OS3 but so far, as it matters for now. Its not possible.
