Component MP3 player

Im looking for a Component MP3 player for my home theater system with a huge hard drive. Any one know of any? I want to do that or get a iBook and some how connect it to my system without using the headphone jack so I wont be limmited by its meger aplification.

Is there such a thing as a digital optical output from a laptop to a tuner? That would be ideal.

Thank you... that is exactly what I was looking for ... I found a PCIMCA card that had an analog out... for $99 but this has a pure digital optical out ... for $69.99
