Is there one? I've seen a handful of Apps rumored here and there, then the ones mentioned at WWDC. I know Apple is generally secretive about releases, but are those who got the SDK keeping their progress to themselves too?

Search around. Some companies will tell you there development on the App store. Other wont. As far as things absolutely coming, search around. There are people who have kept some lists and researched. I know the eBay app is coming, Loopt, I am almost positive AOL will bring their AIM out, although I would guess that they would have completely rewritten it. Other than that. Just wait 10 days and we will find out.

I think Apple may be trying to keep it quiet, with 4000 licensed developers you would think we'd be hearing about a lot more apps than we have.

i agree but a list would be nice or what would be even better......... is if apple would release iTunes 7.7 and you can "pre-order" the apps!

I think the only apps relaesed immidiately would be the one's that were demo'd on june 9th. The rest will come later.

I dont think so I seen around apple is "accepting" applications for the app store I hope apple doesn't launch the app store with 5 apps in it that would be bad business

And with over 4,000 Non-disclosure agreements, you would think we'd not be hearing that much more than we have ;)

There was a story last week about a free one from Apple allowing the iPhone to be used as a remote control for iTunes. That's the only one I've seen anything semi-official about. I seem to recall freeverse.com mentioning some on their site, but I don't recall what they are.

If The Weather Channel and/or Weatherbug don't have an app soon, I'll be shocked. They could easily make $5 each off such an app if they don't make it a freebie.

i saw a little photo editor app in the photo of the day thread a few days back. It was basically like paint on the photos...

A lot of developers are keeping schtum. For some apps/utilities it would be quite trivial to replicate them so its important to be the only one of its kind come launch day.

Is it public knowledge just who received the SDK? Some major players like ESPN, AOL, etc. we've seen...but I know i've read a few gripes here from individuals who weren't allowed in. Just curious

I didn't know they had a non-disclosure agreement regarding app development. What's the reasoning behind this?

Edit: Well maybe I could see why. In developing their apps, I'm sure the developers would have needed to know of the iphone's 3G capabilities, which weren't announced until last month

That raises an interesting question. Is this something Apple is going to try and regulate? For example \would they only allow one movie ticket purchase app (something like fandango)?

Again, the majority of the games. on this list is compiled by Project-79.

I added all the sources. Pretty much all of them are directly from the developers themselves (like their sites or interviews, etc.)

Do you have a source ( just curious not doubting you!)

Well, the applications I added to the list are from the keynotes and news (like BioShock: http://www.theiphoneblog.com/2008/05/30/bioshock-is-coming-to-the-iphone/).

Like I said, the majority of the games part of the list is compiled by Project-79.

And I used "compiled" since there's not one source. Simply search the names of each of those applications and there should be an article for each of them from different sites.

I'll re-edit with the same list, only with sources by each of them.
