ragamffn@octopuss / $ ls -aol asdf.dmg/..namedfork/rsrc
-rw-r--r-- 1 ragamffn 1650 Nov 1 19:57 asdf.dmg/..namedfork/rsrc
(The '1650' would be a '0' if there was no rsrc...)
So apparently in Disk Utility if I New-> New Disc Image From Folder, and make a compressed DMG, it creates a resource fork (!), which I thought the whole reason for DMGs was to get rid of these things.
The DMG is able to open if I delete the resource fork, so not sure what the deal is. Can anyone confirm?
BTW, why you ask? Because I'm archiving some media and using MacPar to create par files, and it bitched about a resource fork when I tried to add said DMG to the app...
