Compression?

Is that what it's called when you take a video file that is huge, and make it a smaller size without ****ing with it's quality?
If so, I need help doing it, I'm on OS X, and I need to "compress" a .mov file, it's currently like 1.42 GB and it's less than 6 minutes... Help!

If you have Quicktime Pro then you should be able to do it via that. Using the export menu option.
