Hi everyone,

I've just tried out Compressor 4.4 on OS 10.13.2 for the first time (I usually use Compressor 4.3.2 on 10.12.6) and I'm having a problem with reference movies.

When I want to "quickly join" a ProRes video and sound file together, I drop both into QuickTime Player 7, Select All, Copy, tab over to other file, Add to Movie, Save As Reference Movie. It might not be the "cleanest" way to join the files but it's quick and easy.

With Compressor 4.3 on 10.12 I can drop the resulting reference movie into Compressor and everything works fine. However, with 4.4 on 10.13 everything looks OK at first (the preview window is fine) but the resulting encoded video is just solid green.

Has anyone else run into this? I haven't tried 4.3 on 10.13 so I'm not sure whether it's Compressor or the OS that's caused the issue. If I save as a self-contained movie instead of a reference movie then it all works correctly (although then I lose the "quick" part of "quick and easy"!).

Any thoughts?

This is still broken in 4.4.1 :(

It's also not a 10.13 problem; I tried Compressor 4.4 on 10.12.6 and had the same issue, so it's a problem with Compressor itself. I filed a bug report with Apple but no fix yet.
