Compressor and Tiger

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but after re-installing Final Cut Pro HD into Tiger I launched Compressor today and it didn't open, when I checked, it went into the dock then disapeared. Could this be just a problem with my Mac or something to do with Compressor and Quicktime 7? Anyone else had this problem? Or if not any suggestions as to why Compressors doing this?
