Computer died - recoved HD - can I import iTunes data?

Hi all,

My computer died and had to get a new one. Found my options when hooking up to the new iTunes were to loose all my playlists and most of the music or buy software that pulled it off.

But I've now recovered the drive and it's hooked to the new computer. Can I use a file to import the playlists to the new iTunes? I hate to imagine recreating 30+ playlists.
