Jailbreaking for dummies i have rarely used a computer since my atari st in like. The early 90s. Need fast easy guide to jailbreak myi phone 4.2.1 step by step click by click .

Iv just been introduced to the process of unlocking the I phone 4 in my serch form information on jailbreaking . My question is what does unlockin do and is it vital to the phone functioning do I have to unlock my phone before I jailbreak it

No. Don't Unlock your phone. It would be useless to you and is more trouble than it's worth, in your case. Just refer to iClarified's website tutorials on how to Jailbreak your iPhone.

I second this link. Lifehacker always has the best jailbreaking guide, IMO. They provide a text based set of instructions and a video walkthrough.

If you barely know anything about computers I highly recommend you don't jailbreak.

This doesn't make sense the OP says they barely use a computer since atari but they have to own a computer to post this and be able to jailbreak. I doubt they would have owned a computer decades ago and then just bought one recently.
