Hey Friends,

Does anybody know of where someone would be able to buy insurance for a computer? (such as theft, natural disasters and other acts of God, etc.)

I'm not sure if it is possible, but I figured somebody here might know.

Cheers,
-Michael-

Before you buy anything check on your homeowners insurance policy. Talk with an agent, it could be covered by that.

If you're away at school often you're still covered under your parents' policy.

allison.

Safeware is a company that offers just this. Very affordable, and no deductible as well. I haven't had to file a claim (thankfully!), but if you search around the various forums, you'll find good things about them.

Cost me ~$90 for $1500 coverage for my C2D Macbook.

If you are a student living in a dormitory you can get renters insurance for like $15/year which covers all those things.

I dunno if you apply for this though, just some information I recently found out.
