I have a white macbook, early 2008, 2.4GHZ and 4GB of ram (from crucial), with lion.
About 2 months ago I had a similar problem where everything kept on crashing including finder and the only way of recovering from the crash was to hold down the shut down button, i reinstalled lion and it has been good up until a 4 days ago, when it all started happening again, so i reinstalled lion 2 days ago, hoping this would cure the problem, it has not this time... I will re-install it again tonight and see what happens...
Has anyone else had a similar problem? Are there any ways of overcoming it? I have an iPad which will be ok... I am not scheduled to get a new laptop until July...
