Computer longevity

Imtrying to decide between blackbook and MBP and im 80-20 for the blackbook but i have one last question.
How long will these computers lasts before ill need to replace it?
will the MBP out last the black or the other way around?
and how long does the batteries usually last?

They'll last quite a long time and always have a great re-sale value. Get on ebay and you'll still see G3 iBooks going for close to $400. The MBP will certainly outlast the Blackbook just based on sheer performance ability alone. As far as batteries go, some people get duds, some get great batteries that last years...

MBP will last longer probably, the battery life depends on how much you use it on the battery.

Both laptops are equally matched processor-wise, so if taken care of, neither has any reason to outlast the other. You see plenty of G3 and G4 machines out there today.
