iPod touch Computer messed up. Cant get purchased songs from ipod to computer

Ok. I bought some songs from my ipod touch. My computer broke, and I lost all of my itunes and my mp3's. I try to sync my ipod to get all of my purchased songs on to the computer, but it won't sync because the material is too different from the one on the computer. What do I do to get the purchased songs off of my ipod and on to the computer? Sorry if I'm not explaining very well. It's very confusing.
