I'm looking to buy a new set of speakers. I've pretty much narrowed it down to 3 possibilities, Altec Lanisng 641, Klipsch ProMedia 4.1, and a Sony shelf system. They're all about the same in price. Anyone have any of these or have a recommendation? Meybe you have an idea of a better set? Let me know.

Thanks,

I heard...

I heard that....err...Alpha will tell you the name. They supposedly have really nice sound. I think its Cambridge something?

Anyways...I have a pair of Yamahas....

Cambridge Soundworks MicroWorks system. You also might want to consider the FourPointSurround FPS2000 Digital. The packages can be found here... http://www.cambridgesoundworks.com/multimedia_musicworks.htm

They are having a sale currently, which makes the price a lot nicer. The MicroWorks system is selling for $150, where the FPS2000 goes for $100.

I know that all of their systems are kicking and really worth looking into. The watt ratings on their systems are minimum numbers, where most others list the maximum watt ratings. That makes the numbers difficult to compare.

yeah... alphas right.. those are some tight speakers...

polk audios pretty good too.. at least from my (limited) experience with em...

happy listening :)
