Hey all,

Is anyone else having the issue after the wake from sleep fix that now their computer WON'T go to sleep? I have one of the new 2019 5K imacs that was working just fine until I updated. Now it's acting like it had 15 cups of coffee. I can shut it down, but if I put it to sleep, it wakes in less than 5 seconds.

Thanks for any advice.

You can do some research using pmset command. Very helpful, even though not sure how to get on "who wake me". More details are here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pmset
or type man pmset on command line.

What may have happened is some corruption to power management plist (/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.PowerManagement.plist) or someone is misbehaving. Hopefully, pmset will help you identify it.

Alternatively, call Apple - yours is very new system, they should be able to help. Note that in some way it is one or the other - if you tell Apple you used command line tools, they do not want to do anything for you. Apparently, command line system maintenance is not supported. I had this experience with their phone support...
