Computers not reading iPhone 5

My brother installed some USB apps from the AppStore to try and transfer files to his work computer. Something happened and no computer reads his iPhone after deleting the apps. They won't even charge it. Any suggestions? He is jailbroken on 7.0.6 and it worked fine before this.
