5 WAYS iPhone Users Get "Ripped" Off

http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9178836/5_ways_iPhone_users_get_ripped_off?source=toc

This article is beyond ridiculous.

One of the reasons we are getting "ripped off" is because we pay for data plans that CPworld claims "we don't use."

Another is the cost to Tether your iPhone to a computer. Nearly every phone has an extra charge for tethering!

They also throw out that we pay $18 for an upgrade fee. Is that not done with Verizon or T-Mobile?

Has computerworld always been so anti Apple?

No..at least on T-Mobile it isnt.

Tmobile doesnt charge an upgrade fee and u can tether for free if ur phone has the capability. Also Tmobile lets u get out of ur contract once u reach a certain number of days (120 I think) pay a $200 fee. u can stay and use a contractless plans (~$20-50/mo savings). or go somewhere else with ur phone.

Good job getting enraged and then linking to it so everyone can click on it and CW can serve up more ads and bolster revenue, thereby justifying the article's sensationalist slant in the first place. They're probably laughing at you right now.
