Hello MR community,

I've been quite concerned from reading horror stories on the reviews about the battery bulgeing for the UMBP at the Apple.com website as of today. From reading most of the reviews, I feel shocked and edgey about getting a UMBP.

I even did a google and youtube search on such related content pertaining to "buldge" batteries. Some date back to 2007/2008.

Are there new batteries as of today? What's the deal on these batteries? Should I re-consider my purchase of the UMBP? I feel uneasy.

Thanks

People only post when their batteries start bulging. The vast majority of batteries work more or less exactly as they're supposed to. The Google search you did is not relevant, because the new unibodies use a different, non user-removable battery than the old ones did.

That's sort of a relief.

So the new unibodies have non-user removable batteries as of now? Meaning a user can't remove the battery him/herself ?

When did this take place?

Thanks!
