Concerned if I can snag one of Friday...

Like many, I purchased a 6+ through att around 3am launch day. My status says 3-4 weeks. I was thinking on trying to snag one at apple on launch day, but have some concerns
1. Will I need to cancel my att order, since it is an upgrade.
2. Does apple verify your eligibility before the sale.
3. If i need to cancel, I imagine a disaster trying to get through to att, then cancel, then reactivate my upgrade eligibility.
4. Will apple wait as you try to cancel your order?

I think I will still try but wondering if others are in this boat?

3. Perhaps. It could be instantaneous or it could be a couple of days
4. Not in my experience
