Recently I've been having issues where accessing big ticket websites, i.e. twitter or google is being impeded by what we refer to in our PC orientated IT department as browser hijacks...however these tend to be limited to a specific browser as a result of malware.

I've tried, in Snow Leopard, visiting google.com in firefox, safari and chrome and each time it is redirecting me to some irrelevent site, however it isn't permanent and occurs happens for maybe 20-30 minutes before the redirect stops and normal service is resumed. I've considered that it could be a DNS issue, but I'm with Orange who are a pretty big ISP, I would be surprised if they were getting hacked.

I've had a look around to see if anyone else has reported this issue but I'm not coming up with much for mac, perhaps my terminology is wrong... has anyone experienced anything similar?
