I was using my 2014 Macbook Air while charging it for a period of about 30 minutes, and realized that the entire time I had been exerting force on a portion of the MagSafe 2 cable, as it was underneath one of the chair legs. As far as I can see there is no visible damage and it is working fine, but I'm overly worried about these things as I had to replace my last Macbook mostly due to physical damage. Is there any chance that it is negatively affecting some important aspect (performance, power, etc)? :(

When my MagSafe cable had a poor connection it heated up much more than normal. So check the temp of the brick, connector, cable, none of which should be warmer than the laptop.

Typically pinched wires end up shorted, which you would have noticed right away.
