concurrent screen name logins in ichat?

I have two different AIM screen names and I like to use them both concurrently. At the moment, I use iChat for one screen name and AIM for the other screen name. However, I really don't like using AIM. Is there a way to use iChat for both screen names at the same time?

I tried creating a duplicate copy of iChat and surprisingly both copies of iChat run at the same time. However, if I switch screen names on one iChat window, the other iChat window also switches to that screen name.

Is there a way to make this work?

If you upgraded OS X, you might be able to get an older version of ichat running. i actually did try that and it didn't work, but i just tried quickly. opened it, it quit, i didn't bother it again.

you can get an app like adium or fire, which i believe allow multiple names at once. check versiontracker for them.

If they have the same password, you may be able to separate the two screen names with a comma in Address Book within the AIM field.
