I normally just put my macpro to sleep when I don't use it (and I normally use it on a daily basis).
I've had it and the 'Apple LED Cinema Display (24" flat panel)' for about 3 months now.

I went away for a few days and shut it down completely, when I got home, there was a massive condensation mark across it (on the inside), which took up half of the screen! It looked like Frost!!

I turned it back on and within half an hour it vanished.

Has anyone else experienced this, and what could have caused it?

It's totally fine now, but should I send it back?

Condensation almost always comes from the conditions of the room. While you were gone, did the room get humid or change temps when you went back to use it?

Iirc, iMacs and Cinema Displays aren't sealed to prevent that.

If it's ok now I wouldn't worry about it. :)

Thanks aristobrat, I guess you gave me the answer that has been lurking in the back of my mind...

And yes, it's been a hot summer (nice for me, not so good for the screen).

I'll rub some suntan oil on it (factor 30), next time I go away ;)
