Running Version 5.5 on an iPhone 4 with iOS 4.1, I was able to configure my notifications to only appear as a balloon with a numbered count on the status bar -- regardless of whether the screen was locked or not. Touching the balloon would list a preview of my SMS with the option to QuickReply, etc.
I would like to accomplish the exact same thing on my iPhone 4S.
I've got all notifications turned off (tried it with QR/QC Message Bar turned on, but that only had the large window popping up upon a received SMS), BiteSMS turned on in SBSettings. Been going back and forth with Bite's Support, but after a week, we still aren't any closer.
