I have come across a powerbook listed as model # A1148. Seller states its a 1.5GHZ 15' model. I look the model number up and can easily find battery replacements for it but nothing on the model itself. Would anyone be able to confirm the specs of this model?

Thanks

No. Either A1095 or A1106.

I believe A1148 is a battery part number which is why you are getting returns like this.

PS, Mactracker always helps on this. Free app.

A 15" 1.5 GHz PowerBook G4 would be an A1106 or A1095 depending on revision. That being said, most eBay sellers choose a generic info set for the description and let it roll!

thats what I thought. I even told the seller that the number seemed wrong and that I know of an a1138 but not a1148. He states its a 1.5GH 15 inch.

Yeah, got to be the battery number. I have the A1151, which is a 17" MBP Core Solo. That's only three version numbers away from A1148 and my MBP is definitely Intel. I can run Win 7 on it.

Number shows up as a battery for a MacBook on Google
Yeah…this tripped up a seller on eBay last year. They had a top case for an A1151 (my model) which was a bit dinged, but had a working keyboard - which I needed (but not the top case). I picked it up for around $20 instead of the going rate of about $100 because they were advertising it as being for a model A1148.

Since there is no A1148…
