i just updated using that GM floating around on the interwebs and put all of my apps back and tried NetShare and the tethering works just fine on my iPhone 3G.

Who knows what will happen with the 3G S though?

haha, this is amazing. Eat me AT&T :)

It's not that I abuse NetShare (actually, I've only used it a handful of times for a few minutes while in a pinch) but it works pretty well.

I use it daily on the way to and from work... It makes me feel a little better about being raped by AT&T. And yes it works just fine on 3.0GM for me too! :D

Hey, I missed getting it when it popped up on the App Store, is there any way to get it now? Anything? I've needed it a few times in a pinch, and I can't spend no $40 extra for it. Thanks

I don't know of any way of getting netshare now as it is DRM'd to your iTunes account. You may be able to jailbreak, but I don't know anything about that. One thing that sucks about NetShare and 3.0 is you no longer have an option to set autolock to "never" 5min is the longest duration, so you basically have to touch the screen every few min to make sure that it doesn't turn off.

I legally bought NetShare when it was available, but I have since lost the app. Does anyone know anyway to modify a copy of NetShare that's available on certain websites so that it will work without jailbreaking my iPhone?

My NetShare works while locked.

I've always just set up my Mac, started the app, then locked the phone.
