In ML Developer Preview 4, there is no option to display to my Apple TV. Very disappointing for me. It was one of the features I was really looking forward to.

I have an MBA 2010 Ultimate and an Apple TV 3rd Generation. Both are on the same WiFi network, the correct options are checked, and no Apple TV mirroring options appear.

Sadface.

"Pretty sure" that Airplay is based on Intel WIDI technology (google it). This was added with the new Core i<x> line of CPUs. The Core 2 duo in your 2010 just doesn't have this capability.

Yeah too bad. I don't like AirParrot, and this was a feature I was looking forward to.

If you searched the tech yourself, you'll have seen that Intel WIDI is part of Intel's wireless chipset, nothing to do with their processors.

That said, WIDI is simply an implementation of a wireless display standard that's also promoted by Broadcom (among other OEs) who make the wireless chips used by Apple computers.
