Im hoping someone can give some advice please.
I have a new M1 24" Imac and have noticed that in Disc Utlity and system report that the storage capacity of the HD is down to 49.93 GB of 2TB and I know for a fact that I have nothing on the Imac to consume that amount of Data. If I click on storage on system report it tells me I have 1.88 of 2TB free space which I would find more acceptable.

Problem solved

& the answer was???
I contacted Apple support and was told that the HD does actually have the 1.88TB available and that disk utility was giving the 49.93 GB because it lists the whole system usage too and was reassured that the HD certainly has the 1.88TB which it says in the screenshots I provided Apple.
