I don't own a Mac yet, but will be purchasing one for Christmas, and I'm doing my research. I'm a little confused about the Airport accessory. I know it's like a wireless router of sorts, but here's my problem. I have Verizon Fios Internet service and the box from Verizon has a wireless router built in. I don't think the Verizon router supports "n" wireless speed, and I know the Airport does and it would be nice to take advantage of the faster data speeds with my new Mac.
I guess my question is, it really worth it to get an Airport Express, or does it pretty much just do the same thing that my Verizon router already does? Would the two work together? My HP printer has built in wireless, so I wouldn't need to use it for wireless printing. I'm just wondering if there's some benefit to getting one.
Thanks!

Do not get an express, it only supports LAN speeds of 100mbit, so even if the WLAN speed is 300, unless you copy from one WLAN computer to another, you will never get more than 100.

Get another .n-router, or simply an accesspoint.
