Hi folks,
So i'm using FCP (and tested with HB) to transfer my home movies for the atv.
Tapes were filmed 4:3, transferred to FCP, edited, rendered and ready to go.
The problem I'm having is that the sequence setting in FCP is 720x 480, but the output settings within FCP do not allow for more than 640 x 480.
Therefore, upon playback (I have an older sony TV...no fancy dancy LCD, plasma or DLP for me yet
, the footage looks great, but there are thin black bars on the side.
When I play other SD material such as the apple trailers or ripped 4:3 movies, the black side bars are absent.
Even when i output a quicktime export option file then import into HB, i can get it to read as 720 x 480, but upon export, it looks 640 x 480.
