1. Bought HomePod mini, plugged it in, held iPhone next to it and it started asking questions.
2. I cant get my stitcher app to play on it at all
3. I dont see it on Bluetooth list, But I thought I saw it when it was setting up
4. I have Echo devices and a Sony Bluetooth speaker but no other Apple products other than my wife iPhone and iPad

Should my Bluetooth list say HomePod on it? When I put the phone next to the pod it played some apps but not all, now it isn't playing any, but not sure. Stitcher for sure wont work at all (podcast app.)

What am I doing wrong?

Done more reading, I guess it does not show up on Bluetooth, and on airplay I have "transfer to homepod" checked, so it is just very glitchy, some apps dont work at all I guess. Echo's are so much easier.

HomePod is a WiFi enabled smart speaker. Bluetooth is used for the initial pairing process. To stream music from your iPhone, select the HomePod in control center and AirPlay to it. It plays music/media via wifi either through your wireless router or peer-to-peer wifi, not Bluetooth.

I tried this app and had no problems at all playing it on my HomePod mini from my iPad.
